Design Collision - Wickham Apartments

Design Collision is a dynamic and creative agency based in Jolimont, WA. This project involved creating brand and marketing collateral for a new apartment development in East Perth called “Wickham”.
Rob’s brief was to to capture a “day in the life” of the area around the development to illustrate what was on offer to prospective buyers. The restaurants, bars, cafes, parks and waterways of East Perth, Northbridge and the city, along with the colour and action of the Perth Fringe Festival provided plenty of opportunities for this “fly-on-the-wall” style shoot.

“Rob is a highly professional, talented and experienced lifestyle photographer.
We have full confidence that he always understands the brief and is up for any challenges that may arise. His adaptable style means that we can bounce ideas off each other and work collaboratively to achieve the best outcomes. He has an incredible eye for drawing drama and emotion from his subjects, and we are always delighted and surprised with what he produces. Above all Rob is an absolute pleasure to work with. It is rare to find a photographer so adaptable that still manages to find the best shot in every situation, there is not a location or subject matter that he cannot make work.”

Roy Hill Mining - Recruitment campaign

Roy Hill Mining are a relatively new player in the iron ore mining space and, in 2016, as production ramped up after their milestone first shipment of ore in late 2015, they needed to recruit a host of new people with a range of different skills. After formulating their strategy the Roy Hill recruitment department commissioned Rob to roam around their mine, port and rail facilities and produce a series of environmental portraits of happy Roy Hill miners doing their thing.
The resulting body of work is still in continuous use across a range of different media, both Print & Digital.

“We’ve engaged Rob for several corporate photo shoots over the last few years, spanning landscape photography, casual on-the-job shots and executive portraits - and have been impressed every time. Rob is a creative photographer who puts his subjects at ease and captures genuine smiles, resulting in beautiful shots that authentically portray our organisation. Rob is always extremely professional and responsive to questions leading up to our photo shoots, he understands the brief and provides excellent guidance to ensure we capture the best possible shots on the day. We’ve been thrilled with the results and highly recommend him.”

Braincells - scotch college campaign

Braincells has had a long relationship with Scotch College and this campaign was developed around the brand promise:

“By knowing the boy, we are better able to prepare him for life”.

Working closely with Braincells’ Jeff Champtaloup, Rob was commissioned to photograph a series of portraits of Scotch College boys of all ages, from Kindergarten through to Year 12, to be used in collateral across Advertising, Signage, Digital and Print applications.

“For me the key to choosing any creative supplier is; “can I trust he or she to understand my idea and not only bring it to life but give it power?”
My answer in respect to Rob is, we have been working together for over 30 years and in that time he has always delivered imagery of exceptional insight and sensitivity. Where does that ability come from? My observation is, he has a genuine love for people no matter their age or circumstance, and that sincerity is expressed in his work, which in turn touches the viewer. That ability is rare.
I would have no hesitation recommending Rob.”
